In this episode of Mumspire, I'm thrilled to share a heartfelt chat with Charlotte Romanet, a remarkable single mother by choice to three wonderful kids. Charlotte opens up about her inspiring journey of giving birth to her twins naturally and without an epidural—a story that’s as touching as it is powerful.
As Charlotte's doula for both of her births, I had the privilege of witnessing her incredible strength and determination firsthand. In this episode, we dive into the highs and lows of her hospital experience and her quest for a physiological birth. Charlotte's candid reflections and the obstacles she overcame offer a genuine look at what it means to advocate for yourself in the birthing process.
Don’t miss this insightful conversation! And make sure to tune in to Episode 18, where we speak with Dr. Andrew Bisits, Charlotte’s obstetrician on the day of her twin birth, to get his perspective on this extraordinary journey.
Introducing my guest Charlotte Romanet. Charlotte is a 40-year-old single mother by choice, she was born and raised in France by a French father and American mother and moved to Australia permanently in 2017. She has 3 children from the same unknown donor: 2.5 year old Theo and 7-month old twins Arthur and Ella, all born in Randwick. Charlotte absolutely loved giving birth to all 3 of her children with minimal intervention and is hoping to encourage others to pursue similar empowering and wonderful birth experiences. When she’s not spending quality time with her children, she works in Supply Chain strategy and planning at Lion, a beer company, and loves traveling, scuba diving and sky diving.
